Got Jesus?

An article by Steve Cass, founder

Who is Jesus Christ?

Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and my best friend. Jesus (Jeshua in Hebrew, or Joshua in English) was his given name and Christ is Greek for Messiah. So Jesus the Messiah, and Messiah means Savior. Jesus Christ is the only leader of any of the worlds popular religions who claimed that He was God. Think about that. This is a huge difference from the rest. He is either Lord, liar or lunatic. He is who He says He is: King of Kings and Lord of Lords, or He has concocted the biggest set of lies of all time, or He's delusional.

Jesus is the Savior of what?

Jesus is the Savior of you and me. Jesus is called the Word, the communications link between God and man (See John 1:1 and 2. As a matter of fact, keep your bookmark in the book of John. It tells you all about why Jesus came to earth.) Jesus came to earth as God in a man's body so that you and I can begin to understand why we're here and what our basic reason for living is all about. He came to earth as a man so He could reconcile us to the Father; so He could show us how to repair our relationship with God in order that we might once again be saved and have eternal life.

What must I do to be saved?

THERE IS ONLY ONE THING YOU MUST DO TO BE SAVED. LET ME REPEAT, THERE IS ONLY ONE THING YOU MUST DO TO BE SAVED: ACKNOWLEDGE THAT JESUS CHRIST DIED FOR YOU TO REPAIR YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH THE FATHER (John 3:16, 5:24, 6:28-29, 35-40, 44, 47, 51, 7:16-18, 11:25-26, 12:44-50, 14:6, 17:25-26)

That's all there is too it???

Yes. That's all there is to it to begin enjoying eternal life, right here, right now. There are amazing benefits that apply to your life today. And now also your eternal soul is saved forever, which basically means that you can now share in God's kingdom after this life. Sure, there's more to learn about what it means to be a Christian. But to begin with, Let Go and just Let God. Let Him gradually renew your mind and body from within.

But it can't be that easy! I've got a million questions! Besides, what'll the neighbors say?

That's all there is too it. Jesus did make it that easy but we humans have been messing it up horribly. I know, that's where the majority of my questions have always been. "But, what about that preacher telling me that I have to give x amount in order to be saved, or when he's telling me I gotta follow all these rules?" I'm telling you, Jesus made it all so very simple for you and me. Man's greed for power and money has gotten in the way, big time. The answers are in the Code for Life, the Bible. The story is not at all complex. What will the neighbors say? Well, as long as your not being led around by the nose by a grocery list of man-made rules and regulations, there's not a great deal for them to talk about except what a wonderful example of a human being you are. This is why it's so easy to share the gospel message with them: there are no rules but the simple message of salvation.

Ready to accept Him into your life?

Do you want to share in this new life? Sure, there's more to learn, but this is the starting point. If you're ready, read along and say this prayer earnestly:

"Dear Jesus. I need you. I acknowledge that I, by nature, am a sinner and need your saving grace in my life. With You living within me I can bear all of life's trials because I realize that You are with me to help me overcome them. I now know that I can be a part of Your everlasting kingdom and that You will help to lead me in everything I do, every day. I will give praise to You and the Father all the days of my life. Amen."
